Then an opportunity appears to make what appears to be easy money with Google Adsense where you can create a website and have adverts place upon it. But you never get round to finishing that either.

The outcome of your actions is that you have unwittingly jumped from one unrelated project to another and most likely none are being given the proper amount of time and attention required to finish them. Your initial internet business work is actually still there yet it is not yielding the results as it probably is not receiving much traffic due to all the good intentions for generating targeted traffic being abandoned. The lack of focus on one thing has led you to be just as busy yet looking back you really have not made much progress at all in terms of building a profitable internet business.
