An Unusual Strategy for Your Info-Marketing Business Part-2

I would like to share with you my good friend Bob Bly's very informative article about a Strategy for Information Marketing Business. In this 2d part Bob Bly shows his examples that you could duplicate to easy produce an information product.

By Bob Bly

As an example, when social networking became hot, I knew nothing about it and felt I should. So instead of spending endless hours getting up to speed on my own, I hired someone to research and write a detailed report on social media for me. After reading the report for my own edification, I gave it to a graphic designer who turned it into an e-book.

Sales from that e-book - "The Social Networking Handbook" (myspacemarketingmagic.com) - have, so far, more than paid back what it cost me to have it created. And now, when someone asks me about social networking, I don't pretend to know the answer. I just point her to the landing page where we sell it.

I never do any pre-testing of new product ideas, because pre-testing in itself is labor-intensive and delays product development. All my tests are "wet tests," meaning when we put up the landing page and send out the first e-mail blast, the product has already been produced and is available for immediate delivery.

When I test new products, some, of course, do better than others. The ones that are big winners, I promote frequently. But even for those that do poorly, the effort to create them is not wasted, for several reasons.

For one thing, I can always combine the slow-selling product with others to create a package deal. Or it might make a good free bonus for a related product. Or I might reuse the content in a book or course I am writing.

Plus, having the product saves me time when answering the frequently asked question it was based on. It also gives me the opportunity to make money by answering that question.

Before answering the question, I ask the person if they have bought and read, watched, or listened to the product. If they have not, I say, "Read my e-book first. Then, if you still have questions, call or e-mail me and I will be glad to answer them."

Some people might carp at your suggestion that they buy the info product. "I just want a quick answer to one question!" they might say.

If you can give a quick answer in seconds, and you want to, fine. But you are under no obligation to do so. It's fair to get paid for your expertise and your time. And if you took the time to put the answer into a book or report, it's only fair for the person asking the question to read what you have written before taking up your valuable time, right?

An Unusual Strategy for Your Info-Marketing Business Part-1

I would like to share with you my good friend Bob Bly's very informative article about a Strategy for Information Marketing Business
---------------------------------------------
By Bob Bly

"Where do you get ideas for the information products you create?" readers frequently ask me.

Different online marketers would answer that in different ways.

A lot of them do extensive research, find out what terms and phrases
are searched most frequently, and create products related to those
keywords. Many others conduct online surveys, asking people on their
own list and other Internet users for the topics they are most
interested in. Still others just brainstorm, either alone or with their staff
or colleagues. They think hard about what they can teach others and
create products on topics that seem most promising.

I have a method of coming up with new product ideas that is simpler
and has merits the others don't. Basically, I listen to the questions
my customers ask.

If a question is asked repeatedly by many people, I develop an information product designed to answer - thoroughly, usefully, practically, and authoritatively - that question.

Why am I so enthusiastic about this as a source of ideas
for new product development?

Unlike a survey, where you go to people and ask "What product do you want me to produce for you?" these questions come to me unsolicited. Therefore, I know my customers have an urgent need for the information and are not getting it elsewhere - at least not to their satisfaction. The fact that so many customers are asking the same question tells me that there is a defect or gap in my product line: I should have a product I can sell them to answer that question, and I don't.

Another advantage of creating products based on frequently asked customer questions is that it saves an enormous amount of time. Instead of having to write a long e-mail answer to the question every time it is asked, I can merely say to the customer, "For more information on this topic, click here now" and point them to the landing page selling the information product that answers their question.

Another source of ideas for new products is questions that I personally
am wondering about and do not have the answers for.

Boost Your Affiliate Business Now!

Affiliate marketer, you want to make more and more sales from the promotion of the products or services you are handling. However the things seem to become very difficult every day and the results of your campaigns are not what you are in right to expect.

Fortunately there are some strategies that have helped the online marketers to increase their sales and continue to receive acceptable commissions pay checks.

Here are SIX tips of your earning strategy:

1. As you are using websites to promote the products or services don’t put all on one web page. It’s better to use multi domains hosting so that you have a website focusing on each and every product or service. You advertise only one product and service on one web page.

You have to add to your web page the your reviews to help the visitor to have an initial understanding on what your promotion can do to the people who have already bought from you. If you can, use your first customers’ names and photos’ on your web page.

People buy easily from sellers they know. On your selling pages you will use a social proof as the testimonials. Invite some of visitors to review your product on the marketing forums if you are the owner of the product. You can add case studies

2. The next step is to write articles highlighting theuses of the product or service and include them on the website as “Read More” page.Your articles must be very attractive and must call to act on the information. Take care to use such a headline that makes your visitor want to try, to read more and even to contact you to find out more.

Each article contains a ‘bio box’ and ‘byline’ that include references and contact information for your business. Well-written content articles released for free distribution have the potential of increasing your business credibility.
You can write articles to be published in e-zines that will help you to locate the publications that are focusing your next customers.

3. Set up a Blog. The blog differs from the website because its feature is to receive daily or regular posts, often around your single product or service. The blog creates dialog with your visitors and help you to explain the features of the product or service you are promoting.
The best part is that your blog offers an excellent way to gather feedback and to make sure your product or service meet the needs of users.

4. Everybody likes Free. Write and offer free reports to your readers. You can use them to grow your list building by joining a form which will be filled out to receive the report.
Many research results show that you need about sixth or more contacts before you can close a sale. Now you can build an autoresponder series to follow up the visitors who have filled up the form.
The information you will broadcast to their inboxes at regular period will bring their thoughts to the product so that the sale will be closed. Take care to make the content of your messages gives the main reason to purchase your product. You can conclude them with the important points like how your product can make life and things easier and more enjoyable. You can share this approach with your blog.

5. Now you need to build a stream of targeted traffic to your product web page or blog. Your articles and blog posts will help you to create traffic. You can use free or paid programs to deliver the targeted traffic but every source of good-quality traffic will either cost you TIME or MONEY. If you are on budget and want to use free traffic generation you need to invest much of your time and you know your time is money.
You make good posts on affiliate marketing forums to drive traffic to your selling pages.

6. The Social networking is more and more used in the online business marketing like Squido, You Tube, FaceBook and the growing one Twitter.
Twitter is now being recognized as a valuable marketing tool. Twitter is a free social messaging utility for staying connected in real-time.
If you are not using social networking it’s the time to get started to build a best relationship with your prospects.

The above 6 strategic tips to make money with affiliates programs continue to work on the Internet. You only need to drive some visitors a day to your web page or blog. Note that only about 1 out 100 people are likely to purchase your product or get your service. So if you can deliver more than 1000 hits a day to your page and blog you can hope about 10 sales.

If you are still struggling in how to conduct your online business to profits, get a try for one affiliate program. After you can duplicate the process and build an affiliate empire which will bring you good paychecks.
